Week 70 - Exchanges Week

Here we are again. Good week! same old same old really haha nothing too much! Pretty busy but all is well. This week we had a ton of exchanges! I didn't really get to work with E. Klassen a whole lot... Tuesday we have exchanges with the Assistants. That is always fun! Get to ride in a car for a little and experience Air Con!! and a washing machine!!! the little things are the most important :) Also got to work with E. Packard again! My MTC comp. haha love that man. We had a good day of work.

 Great to work with him. Then on Thursday we had Zone Conference and that was legit. President Reeder gave a great workshop on the Priesthood. The Priesthood is so cool! It was just awesome to realize what we have in the church and the blessing we are able to receive because God restored his power through a prophet. I am grateful to be a priesthood holder and after the Zone Conference I just felt the blessing and the huge responsibility that I have to be a honorable priesthood holder. Heavenly Father has been so good to me.

Life is good! the mission is great. The priesthood is real. Miracles do truly happen. Heavenly Father loves us. The simple truths end up being the most important ones. I love you all! And miss you all. Keep the faith. I leave you with a scripture. Joshua 24:15. Until next time folks.

Week 69- Manila Week

What a crazy week! So many unexpected things happened haha it was crazy! Always adds some spice.

So on tuesday we had a meeting in Naga again. Then during the meeting, my comp found out he had to go to Manila to get some visa things done since he is going home... So that was a curveball and a half! So I got left while my comp went to Manila for 2 days. I got to work with a great Elder tho. Elder Finau from the island of New Zealand. The dude is a beast! Such a great time to work with him. The thing I learned from him is Christ-Like love! That man loves everybody. And you can just feel it. He genuinely cares about everyone and makes sure you are good. One of the traits i admire and hope to gain.

So I barely got to work with my comp this week which sucked! Still struggling to get people to church.. But we have taught some awesome lessons this week! We are teaching one person and every time we teach him it is the best feeling ever. Mark Anthony Bea. He has had a super rough past. The first time we met him he told us he drinks everyday and night to get rid of the feeling of hate and anger he has inside. We left him the story of Alma and it was the first time we have taught him in a month. He loved the story of Alma and says he wants to change and be baptized. What the golden! He is the man. He has a lot of changes to make but slowly and surely I know he will make them.

There is nothing better to see than to see people change for the better. That is probably the thing I have enjoyed most while serving. To see how the gospel truly changes people. To know that nothing is impossible with the gospel. I have seen it with other people and I have seen the change in me. It's crazy to think how much has happened in the time that i have been here. The growth that i have felt is unreal. I love life! haha its good. Christmas is super soon :) I keep hearing Christmas music and just get more pumped everyday! i would write more but I haven't eaten yet... I'm really hungry right now. I love you all. Week 68 - Continue Week

I really don't even know what to write.. This week was just a blur. The same old same old. Just trying to help people out every way we can. We are teaching some awesome people! And the lessons are legit. But when Sunday rolls around we put up some zeros across the board and can't get anyone to church. Which sucks! If they came to church, it would be a huge turning point on finding out this church is true... That is our biggest challenge right now.

Last night we had the coolest chance to listen to Elder Dallin H. Oaks talk to us! It was a Philippines Special broadcast and it was dope! His talk was unreal. Talked about the gospel culture and what it can do for the world if we just apply it and live it. Hit me deep. Just to see the things that I need to work on and apply better in my life. Been doing a lot of self check this week. Tryna see where i can improve. This gospel is awesome. It is all about change. Everyday we are given the chance to be better and with the gospel in our lives we are given the chance to draw closer to becoming more like the Savior. Until the day we are like him.

I love this gospel. I love this time I've been given to preach it. It has been hard for sure. But everyday I come happier than I ever have before. There is not much more that I would want right now. Week 67 - Peanuts and Caribou

Hey folks! I really don't like writing this weekly email haha but some things need to be done.

I rode a caribou this week! Boom... bucket list! it was fun, got pics, i survived. what more do you need?!

Also had a CSP this week where we picked peanuts! Boom... The farm life is dope! I could do that for the rest of my life. and peanuts are awesome. Always wondered where peanuts came from....

Work  is work! We are teaching a ton of Born Again Christians right now, which gives it a different taste. Everyone is catholic is the Philippines so its always weird to meet someone who isnt. but they are awesome! Truly searching so lessons are filled with questions and really focused. Hardest part is that they refuse to accept a baptismal date and come to church. so that is the tough part! Slow and steady wins the race..

The mission is everything! Life is good. Still mindblowing how fast it is all going. I still feel like I got here! I love this place. The people are awesome, and I know that this gospel is what they need. I love you all! Christmas is close :) hehe party it up! I leave you with a scripture. D&C 88:32-63. Until next time my friends.

Week 65 - Confernece Week

Another week of emailing... Don't know how I really feel bout this haha its a hassle.

Conference was awesome! Loved it. I have been looking forward to it for like weeks! haha i felt like a little school girl when it started. Lynn G. Robbins has a super legit talk. and then President Uchtdorf's talk on "Lord is it I?" hit home... Self check! Just hearing the words of the prophets is the best ever. Before, the only reason i liked conference was cuz i got to stay home and sleep hahaha but it is way cool to see the change.

This week was super busy with conference! Had interviews with President this week, that guy is just the man. Super good! always love talking to him. Then the next day we had exchanges in Naga. then Conference was on Saturday and Sunday, but we had to do some baptismal interviews so we ended up missing Saturday afternoon.. That sucked! but luckily since it was recorded we borrowed the DVD and then me and E. Klassen ended up watching it in our apartment. Just like home! haha so it was super cool to get a little taste of home while watching conf!

So ya this week was super busy so teaching was a little down. But we still taught really good lessons! Right now we are teaching a ton of people who aren't catholic.. Which is different since everyone here is catholic haha so it is different! But super cool so to be apart of. Most of them are Born Again here, and the people we are teaching are really searching. Which is super cool! but their progression is super slow.. But it has been cool to see how people are really searching and then when they feel little truth it is just the coolest thing to see! This gospel is unreal.

Week 64- Meetings Week

What up! Another week and another email i do not wanna update haha bare with me my friends.

This week was super busy, and not with work haha We had a meetings and it was also district conference here so we lost saturday and half of sunday. But it was really good! The meeting was in Naga and it was super cool to learn from President Reeder, i love learning from that man! He just gets life and knows what needs to get done. So it was awesome. And district Con was legit! had the temple president talk to us and then An Area Authority of the Seventy talk to us! So it was just a cool learning experience to sit back and listen to all of them. 

Life is good! nothing too new haha but i am loving it here. This week have been doing a little self check in life to see where I am and it blows my mind how fast time has gone and to see how things have changed. Never thought it would happen! I still feel like the old me, but I feel a difference. I have felt the power of the Atonement and I know he is there for me. Funny to see how things change. but i know they have for the best! life is good, the mission is a party! and im still alive haha so dont worry! be happy, and live life the way it should be.
